We normally ship glasses with single vision lenses within 5 to 9 working days, while glasses with varifocal lenses we ship in about 10 to 14 days.

Are your frames of lower quality than other opticians?

Absolutely not. We only supply high quality lenses and as far as varifocal lenses are concerned, we only supply High Definition Free-form lenses. The term "free-form" refers to an advanced manufacturing process that reduces higher-order aberrations that occur in eyeglass lens created with traditional manufacturing tools and processes.

ARE ALL TYPES OF LENSES INCUDED IN THE PRICE?

Included in the price we quote are all single vision lenses for Distance, Reading or Computer. For Varifocal lenses you pay an extra as quoted

ARE YOUR GLASSES COVERED BY A WARRANTY?

All our frames and lenses are covered by a 24 months warranty against defects of fabrication.

What do I need before ordering from you?

If you want to buy just the frame (without corrective lenses) , you simply enter the order, pay for it and we will ship it. If you require prescription glasses you must send to us your €up to date € prescription which must include the pupillary distance (PD) ,also called interpupillary distance (IPD) , which is the distance measured in millimeters between the centers of the pupils of each eye. You may send to us your prescription by e-mail (info@glance24.com) or take a photo and send it by WhatsApp (+39 3921119793).

Can I just order frames, and lenses with no prescription in them?

You're welcome to order just frames, or optical plastic plain lenses (for people who don't need glasses). If you don €t want prescription lenses for your glasses, just skip the €selection of lenses € during the compilation of your order. Then, please confirm to us by email that you do not require prescription lenses.

I made a mistake when ordering. What should I do?

No fear. As soon as you realize you have made a mistake, just email us as soon as possible, so that we can amend the order. We send the order for the lenses to our laboratory shortly after we receive the order from you so timing is important. We advise, as soon as you have entered your order to print a copy and verify that all information entered are correct.

NO, in the majority of cases the answer is NO.

What material are your lenses made of?

Our optical lenses are made of plastic. We also offer thin lenses Index 1.6. Thin lenses will reduce the thickness by around 15% and give a more natural look to your eyes.

Do plastic lenses scratch?

Plastic lenses are softer than traditional glass lenses but considerably lighter and safer. For added resilience, we offer a scratch-resistant coating.

Do you sell prescription sunglasses and other tinted lenses?

Yes, we do. Any of our frames can be made into a pair of prescription sunglasses. Just select the tint you want when you enter the order.

DO YOU SUPPLY VARIFOCAL LENSES?

Yes, we supply Varifocal lenses: they are High Definition Free-form lenses. The term "free-form" refers to an advanced manufacturing process that reduces higher-order aberrations that occur in eyeglass lens created with traditional manufacturing tools and processes.

I DON’T UNDERSTAND MY PRESCRIPTION.

Don €t worry about it. Just scan it and send it to us by email or take a photo and sent it by Whatsup ( +39 3921119793). Our opticians will get in touch with you if we need further information.

WHY WHEN I CHOOSE SINGLE VISION LENSES I MUST SPECIFY IF I WANT THEM FOR NEAR OR FAR VISION?

Because, in some cases, prescriptions report both indications (correction for far and for near), and if you don €t tell us what you need your glasses for ( distance or reading), we would not be able to fit the right lenses.

How strong a prescription can you cater for?

We can supply lenses for farsightedness or shortsightedness in the range -15.00 to +8.00 of sphere, and lenses for astigmatism up to Cylinder 6.00 .

How can I pay for my glasses?

We accept all major credit and debit cards and PayPal.

Is the payment page secure?

Certainly. We only use the PAYPAL platform which is notoriously very secure.

What is the Pupillary Distance (PD) and how can I get it?

The pupillary distance (PD) ,also called interpupillary distance (IPD), is the distance measured in millimeters, between the centers of the pupils of each eye. We need this measurement in order to do a correct assembly of your lenses. You may measure the size yourself simply by standing in front of a mirror with a ruler placed above your eyes. Or you may ask someone to measure it for you while you look at an object far from you, or, better still, €you could ask your friendly optician round the corner to do it for you. As a guideline, the average PD of an adult person is about 63mm. In adults the PD range goes from 54 to 73mm (obviously there could be exceptions).
